www.restoremyvote.org People For the American Way Foundation has posted a list of the names, available through a public record request, of more than 250,000 ex-offenders in Florida whose civil rights have been restored (click here for more information). Use the form above to see if your name is on the list. If it is, you must register to vote before you can cast your ballot in the next election. This site will help you find the information you need. Here's some background information on how this came about: in April of 2007, Florida Governor Charlie Crist issued new rules that streamline the clemency process for ex-offenders convicted of non-violent crimes, so long as they paid any victim's restitution and have no pending criminal charges. People For the American Way Foundation has obtained a list of ALL ex-offenders in the state that have received clemency from the earliest data available until October of 2007.If you have any questions about registering to vote or need assistance, please call the Restore My Vote hotline at 1-877-60 RESTORE (1-877-607-3786).
