Event Description:
Hernando County Democratic Party Jefferson-Jackson Dinner Presenting the 1st Annual Gong Show!The Hernando County Democratic Party will hold their annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on August 29th, 2009 at 6 pm. It will be held in the auditorium at the Hernando Co. Fairgrounds. Following a catered dinner by Pit Boss BBQ (locally-owned by Democrats!), there will be a Gong Show with some notable guests as judges!
Tickets are available for $25.
** Performers in the Gong Show pay only $20 for admittance!!**

UPDATE: ATTORNEY GENERAL CANDIDATE DAN GELBER WILL BE ATTENDING AND WILL ACT AS A GONG SHOW JUDGE!

FL College Dems' Fall State Conference
Event Location: USF Campus, Tampa, FL
Event Description:
The Florida College Democrats shall be presenting the Fall State Conference at the University of South Florida on the weekend of September 4th. Over the course of the weekend, we will be joined by many of our state leadership including a Town Hall Debate between all of the Democratic US Senate Candidates. As the conference get's closer, there will be a leadership list comprised of our honored guests and speakers.
Panel discussions will be led by notable leadership and representatives of the community and the trainings will be led by Democratic National Committee Staff. Worried about cost? Don't be. This weekend training will only cost students $25 (with ID) and $65
for all others. On Sunday, September 6th, the Lawton Chiles Leadership Luncheon will be an additional $25 for all participants.
The Florida College Democrats (FCD) is the official student outreach arm of the Democratic Party.Our aim is to train new generations of activists and shape the Democratic Party with voices from America's
youth.
In election years, College Democrats work hard to mobilize student voters and recruit volunteers for Democratic campaigns, from town council to President of the United States. In 2008, FCD was larger,
more organized, and better trained than ever, and carried out a field plan that helped deliver a Democratic Majority in both houses of congress!
